continues its support for the local artists in its installation of Cheng Thak, Lui’s solo exhibition.
Lui is known for his rendering of architectural facade of colonial structures.
His detailed projection of nostalgic settings inspired our commitment to showcase his 32 new works
from the Window series to highlight Malaysia’s glorious culture and heritage.
In this series, a romantic rendering of sunlit window twinning of spectacle and emptiness is conspicuous in the transparent architectural forms that seem to float across the otherwise ordinary and uninhabited frame. These invisible structures suggest perhaps the interstices that exist between reality and ideals, where aspirations are natured and dreams are tangible.
The 6th solo art exhibition of "Open the windows of your HeART and appease your mind, body and soul" is Lui’s first collaboration with Susan Kwok, a fragrance artist, lifestyle aromatherapist from Fragrant Blessings and Aqasha, soloist and artiste of Star Mount Records managed by Alex Tan. With the combined powers of curative visual artworks, healing melodies and nurturing fragrance, the HeART of each and every piece of Lui’s work is a rhapsody of the mind, body and soul. This experimental installation will transcend us to the aesthetic appreciation of structure, sense of tranquility and rhythm of time.
